What is Partners in Medicine?

Partners In Medicine is a group dedicated to the support of the University of Utah Intern, Resident, Fellow and their significant others. We are a diverse group of men, women, and children from all over the country. Although we come from various backgrounds and points of view, we share a common bond - surviving residency. PIM is the group you can turn to who truly understands the difficulties inherent in being the significant other to a Resident Physician. Our organization provides a tremendous network of people and activities to help you make new friends and have fun during residency. For many of our members, PIM has become their family away from home. As much as we are here to help you, we also need your help. To keep PIM a successful organization, we need your involvement and participation. The more people we have active in the group, the more activities and ultimately the more fun we can have. Residency works like a revolving door, we are dependent on each new resident class to fill the voids left by those leaving. So please, join us and enrich both your experience as well as ours. Continue the tradition. The diversity of PIM means that we have something for everyone. Keep reading to learn more about the various PIM activities.

Looking for a place to live in SLC?
Our Housing Committee is here to help. The PIM Housing Website provides information regarding rental property, homes for sale, and real estate agents. If you wish to speak with someone familiar with the city we have a housing hotline set up. PIM members have volunteered to take your calls and chat. They can tell you everything you need to know about life in Salt Lake.

Want to meet other residents and their significant others?

Join us at our Annual Intern, Resident, Fellow Summer Picnic in Sugarhouse Park Saturday, July 10th at 4 pm - free food, fun, door prizes, and the opportunity to meet others in your same situation. See our homepage for more information.

Spouses: Want to learn more about life in Salt Lake City and Partners in Medicine?
Join us at Spouse Orientation, scheduled for August 27th, 10 to 11:30 am at the Jewish Community Center. This event is a wonderful way to get an introduction into PIM and all that we have to offer. You will meet our officers and club chairs, and have the opportunity to learn more about PIM activities that interest you and your family. Free babysitting is available, but you must RSVP to president@utahpim.com to secure a spot.
