Partners in Medicine
Friends of PIM

Each year Partners in Medicine hosts it's annual members picnic.  We rely on donations from businesses around Salt Lake City to make this happen, and each year we have some fabulous donations.  This year our picnic is on August 8th at 5:00 PM at Sugar House Park.  Here are some of our sponsors!

La Caille is renown for its French-Ecclectic food combinations. We offer a four-course menu featuring such dishes as Carpaccio, Fois Gras, Vegetable Napoleon, Venison, Rack of Lamb, Ahi Tuna, Eastern Duck and Filet Mignon.  Though we are known primarily for our ambitious and unique food and atmosphere, we have committed ourselves to undertaking Salt Lake's most ambitious wine program.  We offer 32 wines by the glass, 455 wines by the bottle ranging in price from 15 to 3000 dollars, 113 liquors & spirits, and 29 beers & ales.  This growth represents increases in vertical selections, bottle format types, and the addition of many of the world's most sought after labels. Our Wine-Director and Sommelier Joseph Wright is on hand to answer questions and provide suggestions.

High altitude roasting is defined as coffee that is roasted at a minimum of 4,000 feet above sea level. By roasting our coffee in the Mountain Valley of the Wasatch Front, we have gained a significant advantage over our competitors through the process of High Altitude Roasting.

There are few roasters that roast coffee at such a high altitude, and fewer still who understand the advantage of doing so. The advantage is noticeable in the flavor of the coffee. The smooth intensity of Beans & Brews coffees is unmatched from coffees roasted at lower altitudes.

In 1892 Leon Sweet started the Sweet Candy Company in Portland, Oregon. In the beginning, Sweet’s manufactured just a few varieties of candy. However, the candy that Leon offered for sale had two distinguishing characteristics: the candy was mostly made by hand, and folks loved it. They loved it because of the quality.

In 1900 Leon moved the operation from Portland to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he merged several small specialty stores into one general line manufacturing company. Over the years, Sweet’s has become more innovative and more automated. The company has increased the number of products it makes and has expanded its total marketing area. Today, there are more than 250 Sweet’s Quality Candy items distributed internationally in bulk, bags and boxes. Sweet’s is perhaps still best known for its classic favorites: Chocolate Orange Sticks, Salt Water Taffy and Cinnamon Bears.

Our mission with the Oasis Café is to provide a healthy and comfortable balance in both our menu and environment. We pride ourselves in making every item with the freshest ingredients possible with nothing ever arriving pre-packaged or pre-prepared days or even weeks earlier, which is the case with most of our national and independent competitors.

Additionally, we have carefully developed a selection of fabulous options that are fabulous for you! We feel a responsibility to ensure that our Vegan and Vegetarian patrons make no sacrifice in choosing the Oasis, and have also incorporated many options for our customers with tastes in all food groups including our fillet that ranks among the top in healthy options here.

Finally, it is important for you to know that while we strive to make sure your experience here is always a great one; we also want to support our global community as well. In sponsoring an orphanage, school and hospital for the poor children of Africa through an emergency campaign we endorse and work with called Reach The Children, we achieve that goal as well. Every meal you eat here feeds a child there. Every book or gift you buy here is a gift or education for a child there.
