PHILANTHROPIC P.I.M.Last month, as an organization, we took on a philanthropic project of renovating a bedroom at the Ronald McDonald House in downtown SLC. We took a rather drab and depressing bedroom and brightened it up with a touch of color, new lighting, furnishings and bedding. We are very pleased with the outcome and think the guests of room 217 will feel more comfortable during their stay. Overall, our donation (not including the many hours spent brainstorming, shopping, and executing the design) totaled over $1000!!
A special thank you to the following members for their tireless devotion to making this project possible:
Our crew: Claire Donnelly, Leah Nielsen, Erin McAllister, Sarvi Maisak, and Ryan Donnelly.
And more special thank you’s to: Pine Cone Hill (www.pineconehill.com) for their donation of the beautiful, cheerful quilts; Ryan Donnelly for watching five kids under the age of five for several hours so we could get this project wrapped up!; Leah Nielsen for also watching several kids for an afternoon; and the following PIM members for contributing design ideas and planning: Holly Woolley, Jessica Rubach, Ashley Maxwell, and Stephanie Thomas.
